Years ago when we were looking for a breed of dog to get, a
friend said to me “Once you have a Wheaten you will never want any
other dog” she was right 17 years later we still have, and now breed
Wheaties. The bumper stickers say “Wheaties are Sweeties” and it’s
true.
We have 4 Adorable Females and 1 male born November 30th
Irregardless of getting a puppy from us, I promise you there is no
better breed that I know of for family pet and companion.
They are people dogs, incredibly social, and loyal without being
protective. I am a counselor with a home office, and in my practice
I see many children a week, and even children who are afraid of
dogs, Love the Wheatens. They stay puppies for a very long time and
they are always ready to play.
Wheatens are very attentive and playful without being intrusive.
There are a few things that you may want to be aware of 1. You need
to have a fenced yard, anybody walking by will become their next
best friend 2. Also they are NOT car smart. 3. They will jump on
people to give them kisses and hugs. They can be trained not to
jump, but it is in their nature.
I have attached a few pictures. Mom, the puppies as puppies they
look like a darling little bears . They are very attentive and
Loveable. As adult dog’s their hair turns a blondish apricot. It is
very beautiful with some waviness. They do require grooming every
few months. They do not shed.
Also we require that he be spaded or neutered within one year, and
ask for a $100.00 deposit to be returned after we receive
verification from the vet. This is to ensure that the quality of
the breed.
We like to keep the puppies until they are about 10 weeks old, as we
have found that they are very stable, confident and ready to go to a
new home, and are almost trained by Mom. They are $1000.00 for a
puppy.
