The Mini Aussie is delightful, intelligent, excellent with children and other dogs, a loyal companion in a small compact body! They range in height from 13 to 17 inches, and weigh from 15 to 30 pounds accordingly. These herding dogs have what I call a turn off switch...they do know how to just lay quietly at your feet, as well as having a romping good time at play. They are gorgeous to look at, have wonderful colors ranging from black, red, blue and red merles, with white blazes, collars, copper points, but it's usually the merles that have the unusual blue eyes, however, the tris can also display that very unique coloration as well. This is a double coated dog and will go through a shed twice a year. They do not carry that "doggie odor" and their hair coat brushes out easily. They make wonderful agility competitors, they love games such as fly ball, they work well in obedience, and they are excellent service dogs. Due to their very high intelligence level they can be taught so many tricks they never cease to amaze their owners! This hearty, intelligent animal makes the very best family pet.

We strive to raise quality minis that replicate the look of the standard aussie. It is important that they be structurally correct, have stable temperments and maintain some natural aussie instincts. Our pups are very social and are raised around other critters and have "seen" cattle.
