celticirish@oberandassociates.com My granddad told me that an Irish Setter gun dog was like a well-worn double: comfortable and sweet in your hands and joyful at your shoulder. Granddad was right, and we have been breeding Irish Setter gun dogs for 30 years. Only our Celts have ever won an Open All Breed Championship...and they did it twice. We produce dark, smallish sprites which exude class both going and pointing. Bred primarily for brains, so that training is a pleasure; bred secondarily for temperament, their love for humanity is more than an afterthought. Those qualities combine to make a fine gentleman’s shooting dog, the canine equivalent of Granddad’s double Purdey. We will do our best to match one of our Celts to your home. We have puppies and started dogs available now which equal or exceed the above. They make extraordinary companions and top-of-the-line gentlemen’s hunting dogs. They are capable of being both your best friend and a brag dog should you hunt or compete. We are the only Irish Setter breeding program in the world which is endorsed by Orvis. 3/3/09 |
