Height: Ideally, maturity height at the wither is 7 to 9 inches, but no more than 11inches.
Weight: Ideal weight of mature dogs, 5 to 8 pounds, not less than 3 pounds and not more than 10 pounds
Color:

All colors are permitted. Markings- all markings including solids are permitted.

Coat: Long Coat- Should be luxurious, single coat, silky and straight. Feathering is long and long coats must always be groomed in one of the 2 recognized show styles. Smooth Coat-Medium length, that lies close to the body with no beard or mustache and has fringing on the ears. Both the front and rear legs must have feathering. Also pants present on hind legs
Temperament:

The sole purpose of the Mi-Ki is that of a companion and house pet, it is essential that its temperament be outgoing, happy, affectionate and friendly.

Character: The Mi-Ki is very calm, and devoted to you. They are great with children, as well as other small pets. For the perfect all around toy dog you can't find a better dog than the Mi-Ki.
Care: Comb & Brush weekly and bathe monthly. Vaccinations, heartworm and parasite prevention, should be done according to your Veterinarian’s recommendations. These are house dogs and should be kept in the house.
Training: Very intelligent and quick to learn, the Mi-Ki is a perfect for apartments and shut-ins. They can be litter box trained with ease. Mi-Kis have been certified as therapy dogs for the handicapped and have run Agility races as well.
Activity: While Mi-Kis can be the clown in the room, they will also lay for hours in your lap.
Description:

The Mi-Ki is small, friendly, and alert Toy dog of lively action, compact and solid yet refined, in two varieties. The long coat has a long flowing single coat with feathering on the legs, ears, and tail. The smooth coat has naturally short hair on the head and feet.
