Brittany

Country of Origin: France
Height: 17.5 inches to 20.5 inches
Weight: 30 to 40 pounds
Color:

Orange and white, liver and white, or roans

Coat: Medium coat 1.5 to 2 inches in length, flat and dense with a slight wave complimented with slightly longer featherings on chest and backs of legs.

Temperament:

Happy and bright with a bubbly personality.

Not aggressive and good with children, other household pets, and others.  Some Brittanies are shy with new people and retreat behind their owner's
legs to size up the stranger, approaching them only after they feel confident with the newcomer's presence.

Care: Easy care coat, minimal shedding.  Does not need professional grooming.
Training: Very bright and eager to learn.  Novice owners sometimes find them mischievous as they are quick to learn and surpass their owner's abilities to teach!  Great kid's dog as they are small enough for young children to handle on lead.  Quick to crate train and house train from there.  Enjoy challenges, so obedience or agility classes are encouraged.
Activity: Bubbly and active - always ready for play.  With adequate daily activity, these dogs can also be your best "couch potato" buddy in the evening.  Excellent choice for the active family or single.
Description::

The Brittany is a happy, alert dog full of energy and ability.  Their medium build makes them the perfect choice for many families with limited space with a desire to own a "real" dog.
